The 40th anniversary of the Federal Foundation was celebrated at this year’s board of trustees meeting on 3 June 2024.
To mark the anniversary, short films were made with nine protagonists from the Federal Foundation’s network, providing an insight into the foundation’s work. The aim of the foundation is to make it easier for pregnant women to decide in favour of a life with their child and thus to continue their pregnancy. The financial assistance provided by the foundation ‘Mother and Child – Protection of the Unborn’ can be applied for quickly and unbureaucratically via local pregnancy counselling centres. At the same time, women receive individual counselling, which often also serves as an introduction to the early intervention system after birth. The combination of financial support on the one hand and counselling and further assistance on the other is effective in helping women and expectant parents, as confirmed by those working in the field.
The pregnancy counselling centres and their sponsors, as well as the central institutions in the federal states that organise the distribution of the foundation’s aid, have played a significant role in this success. of the foundation The Federal Foundation Mother and Child therefore thanks everyone who has contributed to the foundation’s successful work over the past 40 years, and continues to do so.
The committee met on the occasion of the 40th anniversary in an open setting, so that many other actors with a connection to the Federal Foundation could also participate.
