Today, German Federal President Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier and the member associations of the Association of German Family Organizations (AGF) discussed key challenges currently faced by families.
The exchange with Federal President Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier was attended by Prof. Dr. Martin Bujard, Chair of AGF and President of the Protestant Working Group Family; Dr. Klaus Zeh, President of the German Family Association; Ulrich Hoffmann, President of the Catholic Family Association; Miriam Hoheisel, Managing Director of the Association of Single Mothers and Fathers, Natalia Bugaj-Wolfram, Deputy Chairwoman of the Association of Binational Families and Partnerships, Britta Altenkamp, Chairwoman of the Forum for Progressive Family Policy and Sven Iversen, Managing Director of the AGF.
The family associations emphasize that families are a cornerstone of society and deserve recognition for their many achievements. At the same time, in view of the multiple crises families are currently facing, they are increasingly reaching the limits of their capacity and need appropriate support. Among other things, this is necessary in the areas of (early childhood) education and care, family education and with regard to the time constraints of families.
