Warm summer greetings from AGF

Bild der neuen AGF-Räume mit Grußnachricht

There’s been plenty going on – you can read all about it in our summer greetings.

We send you warm summer greetings and hope that you have enjoyed a relaxing holiday and are feeling motivated to start the second half of the year. The AGF has used the first few months of summer to say goodbye to its long-standing premises and move its office to Oranienplatz 5 in Berlin-Kreuzberg.

In terms of family policy, the first half of 2026 sparked many debates: the current reform proposals have made it clear how quickly seemingly unrelated cost-cutting measures from various government departments can add up to place a drastic burden on families. Within the AGF, there has been intense discussion about the fact that the cumulative impact on the everyday lives of different types of families has so far received too little public attention.

This makes it all the more important to engage in joint dialogue with politicians, academics, associations and civil society in order to identify problematic developments in family policy at an early stage. We look forward to continuing this dialogue with you and to further collaboration this year.
